Bill "Pop" Wilhoit, age 89, of Canton, GA passed away Thursday, August 23, 2018 at Northside Hospital Cherokee.

Funeral services are scheduled for 1:30 PM, on Sunday, August 26, 2018, from the Chapel of South Canton Funeral Home with Rev. Lance Halik officiating.

The family will receive friends from 11:00 AM to 9:00 PM, Saturday, August 25, 2018, and from 11:00 AM to 1:30 PM, Sunday, August 26, 2018 at South Canton Funeral Home.

He was preceded in death by, Wife: Mary Edna Wilhoit, Daughter: Debbie Sangster, Son: Gene Wilhoit

Survivors include:
Son - Eddie (Nancy) Wilhoit
Daughter - Pat Wilhoit
Daughter - Reta Jeffries
Son-In-Law - Bill Sangster
Grandchildren: Steven, Marybeth, Tina, Amy, Tabitha, Tiffany, Regina, Kriston and Amanda
Numerous Great Grandchildren and Great Great Grandchildren also survive.

I would like to express my deepest sympathy for the loss you have suffered! I too have lost many to “our enemy death” (1 Corinthians 15:26) and the Bible has provided me with so much comfort and hope to endure the pain! Psalms 34:18 tells us that God is close to the broken-hearted and he saves those crushed in spirit. Our Lord Jesus said, “For this is the will of my Father, that everyone who recognizes the Son and exercises faith in him should have everlasting life, and I will resurrect him on the last day.” (John 6:40) Yes, God truly cares about us and Jesus tells us we will see our loved ones again!
